Seasons Greetings Sacred Path Community,
Our Spring MCLA Retreat this year will feature a Colorado River kayak trip scheduled for launch on Thursday, March 9th through Sunday, March 12th. When we announced the event at our October retreat there were 30 spaces available and a list was comprised of men who expressed interest in attending. Due to the popularity of this event, there are less than half of the reservations remaining, so it’s imperative that if you want to attend, you need to respond right away.
Read more about this fantastic adventure and register today so that you don’t miss out. I’ve personally done the trip twice and both times it has offered a variety of unique elements. I recommend this for anyone wanting to engage in mindful challenges as well as seeking a remarkable experience on all levels.
Your guides for your trip are veteran river men Scott Ewing and Dan Stanton along with MCLA Associate Directors Rob Bruce and Dr. Michael Lewis. Several of our Wisdom Council brothers have registered and many of them have done the trip one or more times previously, so for newcomers, you’ll be in good company.
31st Annual Fall Sacred Path Men's Retreat:
October 19-22, 2017
Our 31st Annual Fall MCLA Retreat will be held at Gindling Hilltop Camp commencing on Thursday, October 19th through Sunday, October 22nd, 2017. Please mark your calendar now so that you can save the date. If you thought our October 2016 retreat was the best, wait until you see how we’ll endeavor to top it next year.
We’ve included some information herewith about Sondra Ray’s Loving Relationships Training scheduled for January in Ojai. I produced the LRT several times in Los Angeles during the 1970’s. Sondra is a remarkable teacher and the training is profound and highly transformative. Have a look and consider this timely opportunity for you and your loved one(s).
Check out the article on Mindful Leadership that my longtime friend and associate, Dr. Ron Alexander, has offered for our newsletter. He’s a seasoned teacher who shares his teachings around the world. His book Wise Mind, Open Mind is worth a read.
And, thank you Bill Arena, our newsletter editor, for providing information about the protests at Standing Rock. Bill just returned from his 10-day involvement on the reservation in North Dakota and has written about his experience and the nature and significance of the protests.
In the spirit of the holidays and on behalf of all the mindful men of the Wisdom Council and good-hearted souls on the Sacred Path,
I wish you a wonderful celebration of Hanukkah and Christmas.
